The ASSING RIGAL-D hot test engine bench was built in 2019 in Italy by ASSING S.P.A. The purpose of the machine is to simulate test cycles and external effects in a “hot” engine test. This test is the process in which the performance of the engine is tested.
In order to perform the test, it is necessary to achieve the right thermal conditions, similar to those that can be observed in a vehicle. The engine is supplied with fuel, coolant and air, as well as engine oil, and parameters such as oil pressure and temperature, torque output, and exhaust temperature are tested.
The ASSING RIGAL-D hot test engine bench performs test cycles in manual, semi-automatic and automatic mode, when the operator performs only control tasks. It also allows automatic execution of test cycles stipulated by international standards or the configuration of own cycles. The machine system allows simulation of vehicle behaviour such as inertia, transmission losses, gear changes or external influences such as wind, road, uphill or downhill driving.
