ECKERT JANTAR 2 plasma-gas cutting machine was built in Poland in 2009. The purpose of the machine is to cut pre-programmed shapes in details made of black steel, stainless steel and aluminium, with a maximum thickness of 30 mm (plasma cutting) or 120 mm (oxygen cutting). Depending on the thickness of the cut material, mounted KJELLBERG PerCut 370.1 and KJELLBERG PerCut 370.2 torches process the workpiece at a speed of up to 20 m/min, achieving the highest cutting quality in a very short time.
The open design of the cutting machine allows easy placement of the workpiece on the machine’s work table, being 2.5 metres wide and 12 metres long. The portal, made of top-quality welded steel, is characterised by high rigidity even during the most demanding work, guaranteeing total stability of the machine geometry. Any dust generated during the cutting process is eliminated by the installed extraction table.
The plasma-gas cutting machine underwent a number of improvements and was continuously maintained – in 2021, the gas torch height sensor and plasma torch support were replaced (at a cost of approx. 45000 PLN). The plasma-gas cutting machine is offered with extensive equipment, including a CNC ECS 872 controller for full control of the machine’s operation, a rotator for pipes and profiles and a KJELLBERG HI Focus 280i laser source.
