FANUC M-710iC/50 robotic welding machine is used to perform the pad welding process – coating the surface of molten workpieces with a layer of powder, in order to complete defects in the workpiece or to give it new features.

The FANUC M-710iC welding robot is distinguished by its robust, completely water- and dust-resistant body and its compact dimensions, which allow it to be installed in any position on a limited amount of space. All this, combined with high axial speeds and a reach of 2050 mm, makes the FANUC M-710iC/50 robot perform perfectly when machining irregularly shaped workpieces in all conditions.
A FANUC R-30iB Plus controller with more than 250 software functions is used to control the robot, maximising machine performance in terms of speed, cycle time, safety and accuracy. The controller also has full Ethernet connectivity for easy connection of robots, remote computers and other equipment to the machine.
Thanks to its high power output of up to 10 kW and increased laser beam shape range, the COHERENT HightLight 10000D laser head controller is ideal for heat treatment, plating or welding applications. The combination of the controller with the uniquely designed COHERENT HighLight D-Series 10kW laser head, give immediate results and do not limit the current application.
During the surfacing process, the material is fed through a powder feeder THERMACH INC. AT-1200 POWDER FEEDER, characterised by excellent manufacturing precision, digital control and a robust design, guaranteeing full use of the machine for many years. Wheel speed and other machine parameters are controlled by the operator manually or remotely via a PLC or computer. Very high accuracy (±2%/min) and repeatability are ensured by the metric feed rates.
The welding cell is also equipped with a RIEDEL PC 321.2H6LE.I chiller with a cooling capacity of 30 kW, ensuring the right temperature for the machine and the workpiece, and a TAKOMAT RT400 rotary table equipped with FANUC motors, converting a uniform input movement into an intermittent output movement.
