TUR 50S x 2000 universal lathe built in Poland in 1980 by the Fabryka Automatów Tokarskich PONAR-WROCŁAW, is used for precise machining of workpieces with a maximum length of 2000 mm and a diameter of 500 mm (turning over the bed) or 300 mm (turning above the slide). The TUR 50S conventional lathe is characterised by a stable construction and reliability ensured by, among others, an extremely efficient spindle with 21 speed adjustment stages, which rotates with a speed ranging from 18 to 1800 rpm.
The lathe is equipped with, among others, a PEARL IAP2X digital readout of the X and Z axes, an D315 additional chuck and a Morse 5 tailstock quill cone. During its use, the machine has been continuously maintained and repaired and has undergone a major upgrade. The total weight of the lathe is 3150 kg.
