VOORTMAN V613M beam drill line built in 2008 in the Netherlands, performs fully automatic and multi-process workpiece machining in a very short time. The machine, consisting of a drilling machine and a VOORTMAN VB1050 horizontal band saw with bevel cutting capability, significantly increases productivity in any production facility thanks to its wide processing range, high flexibility and ease of use.
Workpieces are transported by a fully automatic roller infeed system to the work station, which includes a rotary head and two capacious tool magazines for storing various types of drills. In addition to flange and web machining, the V613M beam drilling machine also allows for centre point marking, countersinking, outline marking, numbering and threading. In order to keep the process fully automated, the special VACAM software with active buffer management function allows the continuous movement of workpieces towards the workspace and the loading of successive profiles directly on the transport system, without having to wait for the process to be completed.
