YC2500HR large format printer

YC2500HR large format printer was built in 2019 in China by Linyi Win-Win Machinery Co., Ltd. With the latest sixth-generation RICOH printheads, the machine allows for efficient UV printing on virtually any material on the market. UV inks, compared to standard pigments, form a durable layer on the surface of the substrate that is resistant to various external factors, so the print can, for example, be exposed to intense sunlight.

The printing process is executed after selecting the appropriate profile (preset) for the material in the software. The industrial wide format printer has pre-programmed profiles for materials such as glass, paper, plastics, etc. After this, the machine automatically overlaps the material, measures it and lowers the heads to the material thickness. The carriage with the heads moves on a magnetic rail (so-called ‘maglev’) and a magnetic cushion. This type of drive is much faster and more resistant to damage than a standard mechanical one. In addition, a special anti-collision system eliminates the possibility of the head colliding with the material, making the process extremely reliable.

Until now, the YC 2500 HR UV printer has run on original inks supplied by the manufacturer. Nevertheless, UV printing can be performed on inks from virtually any manufacturer or distributor, which are designed for printers with 6th generation RICOH printheads. Extensive equipment includes among others RIP software and components of renowned brands, i.e. PANASONIC and SCHNEIDER.
