CHMER GX430L+ wire EDM

CHMER GX430L+ wire EDM was built in 2018 in Taiwan by CHING HUNG MACHINERY & ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. The machine is designed for the precision machining of workpieces using the electrical discharge machining. This technology enables the creation of complex shapes even in the hardest materials, whilst maintaining high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface quality. As a result, the wire EDM is ideal for the production of precision dies, cutting dies, punches and other parts that require high accuracy.

The CHMER GX430L+ performs machining with a cutting head that moves in 5 axes. The X and Y axes are driven by linear motors, whilst the Z, U and V axes are equipped with precision servo drives and AC motors. This solution ensures smooth movement of the head, high positioning accuracy and stable operation even under intensive use. The automatic wire threading system reduces the time needed to prepare the machine for operation and enables quick resumption of machining in the event of a wire break. It cooperates with an automatic wire positioning system, which ensures the wire is correctly positioned during the cutting process, thereby improving dimensional accuracy and the quality of the finished workpieces.

The CHMER GX+ wire EDM is controlled via an intuitive CNC controller with the option of importing files in DXF format. The control system facilitates the creation of machining programmes and significantly reduces task completion time. The extensive range of equipment also includes, among others, a filtration system with two paper filters, tools and a spool with 0,25 mm diameter copper wire. The total weight of the machine is 2600 kg.
