EXERON DIGMA HSC 600 milling center was built in 2010 in Germany by Exeron GmbH. It is an extremely versatile yet compact machine designed for the production of precision tools and moulds. A number of state-of-the-art technical solutions, combined with extensive equipment, guarantee excellent repeatability of the manufactured parts over many years of intensive operation.
The EXERON DIGMA HSC 600 is distinguished by its extremely rigid gantry structure, made of polymer concrete. The entire workspace has been fully maximised to ensure maximum freedom of operation. It features all the necessary equipment, i.e. a reliable electro-spindle, a 30-position tool magazine and a large work table with a length of 900 mm and a width of 550 mm.
The machining process is performed fully automatically in HSM (High Speed Cutting) technology. This technology allows a significant reduction in cycle time while increasing productivity and maintaining high quality. The electro-spindle used, thanks to temperature compensation, does not deform thermally and maintains a constant temperature during heavy-duty operation and high speed. The cutting tools, on the other hand, are continuously cooled to increase their overall service life.
All linear axes are driven by digital drives attached directly to backlash-free helical gears. Their movement is performed on precision rolling guide rails with guards. Excellent positioning precision, in turn, is ensured by direct opto-electrical measuring systems. All this is complemented by extensive equipment, that includes, among others, the advanced HEIDENHAIN CNC control with many useful functions, such as dynamic block recalculation (look-ahead), graphic program test and tool management. The DIGMA HSC 600/3 CNC machining center weighs 7000 kg.
