KOVOSVIT MAS MCV 1000 SPEED 5AX CNC vertical machining center

KOVOSVIT MAS MCV 1000 SPEED 5AX CNC vertical machining center was built in 2011 in the Czech Republic by KOVOSVIT MAS a.s. The machine is used for the precision, five-axis machining of metal workpieces with complex geometries. It enables milling, threading and hole drilling. This makes it ideal for the production of moulds and tools, as well as precision components used in the machinery, automotive and aerospace industries.

The working area has been designed with convenient operation of the machine in mind. Wide sliding doors provide easy access to the workpieces and facilitate their clamping, whilst the watertight enclosure guards prevent coolant and chips from escaping the machining area. The machining process is performed using a spindle with a maximum rotational speed of 12000 rpm and cutting tools taken from a 30-position magazine. The rotary table, with a diameter of 520 mm, allows the workpiece to be repositioned relative to the tool, enabling machining of surfaces at various angles without the need to re-clamp the workpiece.

The design of the KOVOSVIT MAS MCV 1000 SPEED 5AX machine is based on a rigid C-shaped frame, designed using the finite element method (FEM – Finite Element Method). Such a solution helps to maintain high geometric accuracy even under heavy loads. The linear axes move along linear guideways, which ensure precise motion and appropriate feed dynamics.

The MAS MCV 1000 SPEED 5AX CNC machining center is offered with equipment that includes, amongst others, a HEIDENHAIN CNC controller, a chip conveyor and a cooling unit. The total weight of the machine is 11800 kg.
