MOSSINI PDM/4B 1000T mechanical press

MOSSINI PDM/4B 1000T mechanical press was built in 2009 in Italy by Mossini SpA. The machine is designed for the precision blanking, stamping and forming of large-size components. The combination of high press force and wide machining capabilities makes the press ideal for the mass production of components used, among others, in the automotive and machinery industries.

The MOSSINI PDM/4B 1000 is distinguished by its high press force of 1000 tonnes. Its drive system is based on a flywheel and an eccentric gearbox, which cooperate with four connecting rods. This solution enables uniform torque transmission and smooth control of the slider movement. Tools are positioned on the work table with centring pins and fixed with clamps, whilst they are fixed to the slider with bolts. The work table can be moved outside the press’s work area to carry out the assembly or disassembly of tooling, as well as preparation and maintenance work.

The MOSSINI PDM/4B/1000 1000t press is equipped with a movable and a fixed hydraulic die cushion. This solution enhances the press’s functionality and enables operations that require controlled downforce from the work table side. As a result, the machine can be used, amongst others, for deep drawing and the forming of complex-shaped workpieces. The rigid design with an open side wall facilitates the feeding of material strips and the handling of large-size tooling. The total weight of the PDM-4B-1000 machine is 395 tonnes.
