ZEISS ACCURA 12/18/10 coordinate measuring machine was built in 2019 in Germany. The machine is used to perform extremely accurate measurements of machine and automotive parts weighing up to 2000 kg. The dimensions of the measured component are taken by the mounted VAST XTR GOLD measuring head and presented as a set of point coordinates on a contact or non-contact path. The use of this method makes it possible to perform measurements on objects with very complicated shapes, which cannot be measured with ordinary measuring instruments.

The structure made of aluminium has been coated with a special coating CARAT (coating aging resistant aluminium technology). This technology maintains an ideal mass-to-volume ratio, resulting in significantly improved temperature stability and increased measuring speed. The portal coordinate measuring machine measures at a speed of 200 mm/s, in the three X/Y/Z axes with ranges of 1200 mm, 1800 mm and 1000 mm respectively.

At the moment, the portal measuring machine has been configured to automatically measure the following components in process: body GSE T3/T4, head T3/4, crankshaft T3/T4. The equipment includes among others, a 3-level automatic stylus change system and a pallet loading system with automatic temperature measurement of the workpiece. The total weight of the machine is 5900 kg.
