AUERBACH AX 5 B CNC bed milling machine

AUERBACH AX 5 B CNC bed milling machine was built in 2009 in Germany by Auerbach Maschinenfabrik GmbH. It is an extremely efficient machine designed for even the most demanding production challenges. The AUERBACH AX5 B enables the machining of large, heavy workpieces that are used, e.g. in the aerospace and automotive industry. The machining process is performed fully automatically on the rotary table by means of a 5-axis swivel workhead. This solution enables comprehensive machining of workpieces in a single work cycle, without the need for repositioning them. The workhead is equipped with an electro-spindle rotating at a maximum speed of 12000 rpm. It provides the excellent dynamics required for both roughing and finishing operations. The cutting tools, on the other hand, are continuously cooled to increase their overall service life. The AUERBACH AX 5B CNC machining center is offered with a wide range of equipment, consisting of, among others, a workpiece measuring probe and the advanced HEIDENHAIN CNC control, which offers intuitive operation and many useful functions. The total weight of the machine is 44 tonnes.
