MIKRON VCP 800W Duro CNC vertical machining center

MIKRON VCP 800W Duro CNC vertical machining center was built in 2004 in Switzerland by Mikron Comp-Tec AG. The machine is designed for precise machining of steel, aluminium and the production of moulds and tools. The machining process is performed by means of a reliable spindle and precision cutting tools. The spindle, driven by a powerful motor, rotates at a maximum speed of as much as 20000 rpm, ensuring rapid machining while maintaining high efficiency at the same time. Inside the fully illuminated workspace, there is also a large work table with T-slots for easy workpiece and tooling mounting. All this is complemented by an advanced HEIDENHAIN iTNC 530 CNC control with an intuitive interface and an access to many advanced functions. The MIKRON VCP CNC machining center weighs 9120 kg.

The MIKRON VCP 800W Duro is offered with an extensive range of equipment, including, among others, the BILZ ThermoGrip shrink fit machine with CoolDown module. This device enables fast and precise clamping of tools in heat shrink toolholders using the plastic properties of the metal. In this process, the holder is heated until the diameter of its bore is increased, allowing the tool to be placed freely. After cooling, the holder shrinks on the tool, creating a very high and evenly distributed clamping force.
