ABB IRB 2600 M2004 robotic welding cell

ABB IRB 2600 M2004 robotic welding cell was manufactured in 2003. The welding robot is used for e.g. spot welding or arc welding. The machine works with the highest accuracy and thanks to its low weight and compact design is able to significantly reduce cycle times by up to 25%.

The arm of the industrial robot has a payload of 12 kg and a reach of 1.85 m, making it able to access machines and work without colliding with other equipment. The robot works in automatic mode, while its loading is done manually. The machine has 6 axes with movement ranges of +180° / -180° (axis 1), +155° / -95° (axis 2), +75° / -180° (axis 3), +400° / -400° (axis 4), +120° / -120° (axis 5) and +400° / -400° (axis 6). The machine weight is 284 kg.

The robotic welding cell was modified in 2014 and was equipped with: a SIEMENS Simatic S7-300 PLC controller, a manipulator with ABB IRB 2600-12/1.85 controller, an IRBPC 500 rotary table, a TP900 Comfort HMI panel and a Fronius FK 4000-R FC welding machine. The total weight of the machine with the ABB IRB 2600 M2004 robot is 5500 kg.
