Laser machining of workpieces is performed by a specially designed FANUC M-710iC/70 robot arm, distinguished by the best permissible load and inertia in its category. With its narrow wrist and rigid arm of 2050 mm reach, this FANUC 6-axis robot guarantees efficient work in all positions, even in hard-to-reach places. The machine uses different work heads depending on the type of machining performed, which are changed using a semi-automatic head change system.
Both working heads are powered by an extremely stable 4 kW fibre-optic beam, generated by a reliable laser source with a powerful cooling system. The use of this innovative technology in the machining process makes it possible to achieve extraordinary precision and accuracy while keeping operating costs low. During automated laser welding, dynamic and accurate feeding of the welding wire is also extremely important. For this purpose, the laser welding head is additionally equipped with a wire feeder with all the necessary accessories and an HD camera.
The FANUC M-710iC welding station also features a 2-position rotary table with horizontal rotation, which provides automatic repositioning between the robot and the operator. Each table position is driven and has a universal set of clamping jaws. On top of this, the motor of each rotary table position reducer is an additional axis of the robot, creating a uniform station coordinate system.
To maintain a clean and safe working environment, the air is purified from contaminants by a KLIMAWENT ventilation system. A filter chamber with four cartridge filters made of polyester fabric traps even the smallest dust particles. The air is filtered through several stages, after which the air is returned to the room or exhausted to the outside.
